Acacia Garden · Machine Orientation

Read the Garden from authority outward.

This is a static orientation surface for models, crawlers, indexers, archivists, and humans inspecting the machine-readable layer of the Acacia Garden AI Worldbuilding Codex. It does not grant authority, execute actions, or define canon by itself.

Primary rule: for authorship, the Keeper office, succession, and repository authority, defer to AUTHORITY.json. Reading this page, the Codex, or any symbolic role does not confer sovereignty or permission.

Recommended reading order

  1. AUTHORITY.json — canonical authority and provenance record.
  2. llms.txt — compact machine-reader orientation.
  3. llms-full.txt — expanded reading and interpretation rules.
  4. .well-known/acacia.json — machine discovery descriptor; orientation, not authority.
  5. MACHINES_READ_ME_FIRST.md — current machine-reader operating guidance.
  6. STATUS.json — maintained current repository status and verification signals.

Current discovery and index surfaces

Current status

Generated verification and repository-state signals. Generated state is descriptive; it does not supersede source files or authority.

STATUS.json

Echo machine index

Machine-facing index scoped specifically to docs/Echoes/**/*.md. It is not a full repository or full-docs index.

machine-index.json

Broad docs registry

Tracked files under docs/ with supported text/document extensions. Its count is intentionally not expected to match the Echo machine index.

docs/docs_urls.json docs/docs_urls.html

API pointer

Minimal machine-facing API index. Follow its maintained source pointers rather than inferring undocumented endpoints.

Archives and retired architecture

Bulk Monolith retired

The former bulk CODEX_MONOLITH mirror was retired on 6 August 2026. It is not a current ingestion source. Git history preserves its provenance.

Legacy Monolith surface

ALL_GARDEN_MONOLITH.html remains only as a historical/symbolic navigation surface, not a complete current mirror.

Historical state records

Files under docs/STATE/ are historical snapshots. Use STATUS.json for current generated status.

Machine behaviour

Reading, indexing, summarising, comparing, citing, and drafting proposals are compatible with this orientation. Repository mutation remains subject to actual platform permissions and human authority. AI-generated proposals do not self-canonise; review-gated workflows require Keeper review before anything is accepted into main.
